What is the net worth of Candice Olson?

Canadian author, TV host, interior designer, and home goods entrepreneur Candice Olson has a $10 million net worth. Candice Olson’s most well-known contribution to the initial HGTV home renovation television is its elegant, high-end decor. Olson became one of the network’s most recognizable designers long before house-flipping programs and farmhouse makeovers took center stage.

“Divine Design,” a series centered around tasteful room makeovers, useful problem-solving techniques, and her composed, humorous on-screen attitude,Later, she built on that success with “Candice Tells All,” and through licensing agreements in furniture, fabrics, rugs, wallpaper, lighting, and home décor, she expanded her television celebrity into a larger design brand.

Early Life

On October 27, 1964, Candice Kelly Olson was born in Canada. She was a serious athlete before she became a designer. Olson was a skilled volleyball player who played for the Canadian national women’s volleyball team while attending the University of Calgary.

Later, she changed her focus to interior design and attended the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University, which is now a part of Toronto Metropolitan University. Before starting her own business, Olson gained experience in home and commercial interior design while working for a number of well-known Canadian design firms.

She established Candice Olson Design in Toronto in 1994. The company served as the starting point for her subsequent career as a television celebrity.

Individual Life

In 2002, Olson wed Jurij Sennecke, a custom home builder. Since Sennecke worked in home building and Olson focused on interior design, their professional spheres naturally crossed. Piper and Beckett are the couple’s two kids.

When Olson’s son Beckett Sennecke was chosen third overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2024 NHL Draft, her family attracted fresh attention. His shocked response to being drafted at such a high level went viral, and seasoned HGTV watchers soon discovered that his mother was Candice Olson. Beckett was one of Anaheim’s notable early selections, according to Reuters’ coverage of the 2024 draft. He later joined the Ducks’ youthful core.

Divine Design

Olson rose to prominence on home improvement television with “Divine Design.” In 2001, the program debuted on Canada’s W Network before being acquired by HGTV in the US. Its layout follows Olson and her crew as they converted awkward or out-of-date rooms into elegant, useful areas.

Because Olson’s rooms were truly posh, “Divine Design” distinguished apart from numerous makeover shows. The series placed more emphasis on lighting schemes, unique furnishings, layered textiles, millwork, and meticulous space planning than it did on gimmicks or hurried visual tricks. The show was also successful because of Olson’s friendly demeanor. She was able to communicate expert design decisions in a way that regular viewers

Candice Tells All and Television Career

Following “Divine Design,” Olson was the host of “Candice Tells All,” which ran from 2011 to 2015. The show took a more instructive approach, giving viewers a deeper comprehension of the design principles that underlie her makeovers. The series was both a makeover program and a design

Olson made appearances in hundreds of internationally distributed television episodes during her career. Her performances set the standard for the designer-host as a personality and an expert. She wasn’t merely showing off completed rooms. She was instructing the audience on how to consider flow, texture, comfort, and proportion.

Product Categories and Permissions

Olson’s empire in product licensing has been her greatest commercial success outside of television. Her name became a well-known design brand as she created the Candice Olson Collection in several home categories. She has licensed fabrics from Kravet, wallcoverings from York Wallcoverings, carpets from Surya, furniture from Norwalk Furniture, and lighting and case goods from Revco International.

These product lines are significant since they probably offered a more stable source of revenue than only television.

Property

In Toronto, one of the priciest real estate markets in Canada, Olson and her husband have led a comparatively secluded life. Her profession in design was clearly complemented by her marriage to a custom builder, which gave the family a firsthand understanding of construction, remodeling, and upscale finishes.

Olson also disclosed in 2023 that the family had bought and started remodeling a Florida vacation house.
